Barry Toomey -  DIRECTOR

Barry Toomey Q.C has been a leading Queen's Counsel (essentially a senior trial lawyer) in Sydney for 30 years. He has had a wide experience in most branches of the law. He has been a member of the New South Wales Bar Council, the governing body of barristers in the State, for 11 years during his career. He has been chairman of the Bar Council ethics committees. For 26 years, he was majority owner of a leading Sydney hotel. He is a shareholder and director of a recently formed mortgage company Area3 Pty. Ltd. Mr. Toomey brings to the company broad experience of business and law at a high level.

Keresoni Baleidrokadroka -  DIRECTOR OF PLANNING

Born and educated in Fiji, Keresoni Baleidrokadroka pursed a Diploma in Education and also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree at USP, Suva. Also holding a M.Com Degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia and a Diploma in Small-Medium Enterprise Development from the ILO Turin Centre, Italy.

An ex school tutor, trained at the Reserve Bank of Fiji, employed at the South Pacific Commission, Ministry of Finance & National Planning, and even a Director at the Ministry of Tourism. Keresoni has also had great experience within the hotel industry serving as Director of Sonaisali Island Resort for a period of six years. He has served as a consultant and CEO. Keresoni has one of the most well respected names amongst the residents in Fiji. Pacific Palm Marina Resort has welcomed Mr. Baleidrokadroka into the Pacific Palm family and we look forward to having the opportunity to witness his career continue to expand into new and exciting projects.

Grant Thompson - DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Grant Thompson is a New Zealand citizen and has 15 years experience in the hotel industry, with an emphasis on food & beverage and operations & management. His international experience encompasses Australia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and two-and-a-half years in the Fiji Islands. He has worked with Starwood Hotels (Sheraton, Westin, Sheraton Luxury Collection), Shangri-La and Accor Asia Pacific (Sofitel). He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and has Hotel pre-opening and refurbishment experience, and within the Fiji market, a proven track record of innovative and creative food and beverage and conference management.

Betty Patalis - DIRECTOR

Betty can be called upon to make the best selections for enhancing our Hotel’s decor or designing the hotel specifications. Betty and her team are trained in hospitality business deigns where their goal is to create the 'look and feel' our Hotels desire with cost effective, easy to maintain materials and furnishings. Betty and her team will ensure the selections that will make best coordinate with the existing or desired decor.
Betty clearly understands the importance of budgetary demands, cost control, critical delivery schedules and on-going maintenance requirements and with her 11 years of experience in the industry she will work quickly and efficiently to stay within the Hotel’s budget and meet the deadlines.
Betty selects the most appropriate alternatives to accentuate the Hotel’s design. She works with many qualified manufacturers who have excellent custom production capabilities.

Chantelle Gillier - DIRECTOR/SECRETARY

Chantelle Gillier has been managing Call Centers and corporate marketing companies from an early age.
Starting off in the Operations department Chantelle progressed rapidly through the Sales and Marketing Industry, where she also specialized in Training, Recruiting and Customer account management. Chantelle has also been involved with a large variety of different products ranging from finance, marketing, hotel development, telecommunications, holiday packages, IT products, door to door marketing and corporate business development.

Chantelle has a work ethic second to none and is known as an enthusiastic, positive team player. She thrives for her love of product knowledge and has been highly involved with direct sales roles to set the high expectations our organization strives for. Managing team leader positions and general management Chantelle has even taken the opportunity for travel to South East Asia, throughout the United Arab Emirates and throughout Australia to train a large variety of inbound and outbound call centers specialising in high return products. Chantelle’s role, knowledge and experience within the Gillier Group organization will ensure that Gillier Group will be internationally recognized as a leader in high levels of customer service, professionalism and the delivery of 100% of our objectives.

Aaron McIlhagga - ACQUISITION AND DEVELOMENT MANAGER, PACIFIC REGION

Aaron McIlhagga has 9 years experience in the international sales industry specializing in all target markets ranging from residential sales, small to medium business sectors and corporate clients. Aaron was raised into a unique entrepreneurial background which has given him an advantage to excel in various industries. Aaron is recognized for his achievements with a considerable quantity of international sales awards and prizes for excelling to the top 1% in sales and customer service for his career. He is extremely customer focused, enthusiastic, and passionate about delivering results and committed in developing and maintaining business relationships. Aaron has finally arrived at the Gillier Group to build an extensive network in the Hotel and development industry. Aaron will ensure all clients who invest in the Pacific Palm project will receive the highest level of service, the ‘correct’ investment for their criteria and that our team holds our customers and our credibility as Gillier Group’s number one focus.

Anish Kumar - EXECUTIVE SALES MANAGER, NADI LOCATION

Anish Kumar has lived in Fiji for more than 20 years and has a great understanding of Fiji’s tourism trends. He has studied Hotel and Tourism management in Hawaii for 3 years, which has also given him a greater understanding of the tourism industry internationally. While studying, Anish was a manager for Ali'I' Luau at Polynesian cultural centre and won the award for being the world's number one Luau. Anish has also worked at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hawaii and helped revised the room service and banquet training manuals. After his studies in Hawaii Anish was employed by the developers of Hilton Fiji in Denarau as the Sales Manager and brought in more than NZ$50,000,000 of business selling Hilton Villas. Anish has seen the opportunity with the Pacific Palm, Fiji development project as another way to improve Fiji’s economy. Anish is a trustworthy, enthusiastic, team player who has brought his positive nature into Gillier Group and the Pacific Palm development.

Son Il Hyoung – KOREAN SALES AGENT & ADVISOR (Korean speaking)

Gillier Group understands that the Asian clientele are very interested in Fiji especially for tourism and investment. Recognizing this interest, we have appointed a Korean sales agent and advisor.

Son has 13 years’ experience in Fiji and we look forward to seeing his significant experience helping our team stand out. We believe he will be a great asset not only for the Asian market but the local market as well.
